CAD

Computer Aided Design or CAD is the use of Computers to Aid in the creation, modification, analysis, or optimization of a Design.

In addition to utilising CAD for a number of our core services, our extensive experience garnered over the years has meant that we are able to offer various standalone CAD services :

• Digitise hand drawn hard copy drawings into usable CAD format drawings.

• Received a .dwg/.dxf etc. CAD file you don't have the software to open? We can convert it into a number of other formats including the commonly used PDF.

• Only have a PDF but want a usable CAD format? We have experience in converting from PDF to .dwg/.dxf etc. (Outcome of the conversion will be largely dependent on the quality of the PDF.)

• Takeoffs: Save time scaling off hard copy drawings. We can perform CAD takeoffs for items on your plan/elevation drawings such as tarmac and paved areas, kerbing, drainage, bricks/blocks, soil up etc.

• Measurements: Have paper drawings with missing dimensions and a CAD .dwg/.dxf etc. you're unable to open? We can use your CAD files to quickly find those missing measurements for you.

• Details & Sections: Unsure of dimensions or of how certain construction elements go together for instance? Using your existing drawings for reference, we can provide clarity in the form of our own CAD sketch details and sections.
